Laurie Mercier, MD
Family MedicinePrimary Care
Dr. Mercier has more than 25 years of experience in primary care. She initially graduated from college with a degree in Chemistry and Biochemistry and was awarded a National Science Foundation Grant to conduct further research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She later earned a degree in Naturopathic Medicine from Bastyr University and practiced holistic medicine for several years while teaching Organic Chemistry, Immunology, Pharmacognosy, and other subjects. She then attended the University of Washington School of Medicine, where she earned her MD degree. After completing a residency in Family Medicine, she went on to practice primary care for more than 25 years. She transitioned from traditional brick-and-mortar clinical practice to telemedicine to contribute to an evolving area of medicine while bringing her extensive clinical experience, professionalism, and evidence-based approach to virtual care. She continues to value one-on-one patient interactions, as well as developing clinical protocols and mentoring fellow providers.

Kimberli Hastings, NP
Family MedicineMental Health
Kimberli is a Family Nurse Practitioner who has been practicing since 2019 in the areas of Family Medicine and Mental Health. She began her career as an LPN in 2010, obtained her RN in 2013, and further advanced to becoming a Nurse Practitioner six years later. Throughout her career, she has worked in diverse healthcare settings, from nursing homes to dialysis centers to clinics to various travel nursing assignments. Kimberli’s main goal as a Nurse Practitioner is to improve her patient’s lives. She wants them to always feel valued as team members and actively involved in decision-making processes regarding their healthcare. Kimberli is married with four children. She enjoys spending time with her family doing activities such as camping, playing board games, and participating in outdoor sports. She also loves getting lost in a good book.

Theresa Vergara, NP
Nurse PractitionerNutrition & Wellness
Theresa is a Certified Nurse Practitioner with a Doctorate in Nursing from Columbia University. She also holds a Masters in Human Nutrition, with a focus on the interplay between sleep and food intake. Theresa has worked in numerous environments, from treating acutely sick hospitalized patients at a busy NYC hospital, to helping patients manage both chronic and acute conditions in an outpatient setting. She believes medicine is more than simply treating symptoms, and takes a holistic approach to address her patients’ needs. Theresa is married with a daughter. As a family, they love to travel and enjoy anything that involves the water.

Craig Sorkin, NP
Functional MedicineIntegrative Care
Following the events of September 11, 2001, Craig began his healthcare career by joining a local first-aid squad, which inspired a lifelong dedication to patient care. An early advocate for technology in medicine, he embraced digital healthcare tools during his training and developed a lasting interest in healthcare innovation. Craig trained in both urban and suburban healthcare settings, including emergency medicine and private practice, and studied at William Paterson University and Drexel University. He is passionate about functional and integrative medicine, focusing on identifying and addressing the root causes of illness rather than simply treating symptoms. In addition to clinical practice, Craig has co-authored a nurse practitioner guide, authored a book on telemedicine, and written numerous articles on healthcare and technology.
